The International School of Zanzibar recruits from a variety of sources and actively seeks qualified teachers with international experience, as well as experienced teachers who wish to leave their home country to pursue a career in international education.
We are seeking teachers who can help us to attain the highest educational standards while maintaining our friendly and caring atmosphere: something that all of us at ISZ value and cherish. You will join a supportive, energetic and enthusiastic team of educators who are determined to make high achievement and enjoyment of school life a reality for all of our students.
Applicants for teaching roles must hold, at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree and full valid teaching certification from their home country e.g. PGCE or B.Ed (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA only candidates will not be considered for employment). Please note that the degree must be directly related to the post that you are applying for. A strong preference is given to candidates who have shown a pattern of involvement in extra-curricular activities. Overseas teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
At ISZ, we are committed to student safeguarding. All applicants are required to provide accurate, detailed and verifiable information about their employment history, including any aspects of their past or profile that could affect our reputation or the well-being of our community.
